Geno Smith airs it out to Isaiah Williams for a 58-yard TD
ESPN - Williams will have the opportunity to work as the Jets' WR2 behind Garrett Wilson for Sunday's game against the Bears due to the absence of Adonai Mitchell (finger).
Williams has played 80 percent or more of the Jets' offensive snaps in each of the last two games, though he logged only one catch (on two targets) in a Week 3 loss to the Lions. However, with both Mitchell and tight end Mason Taylor (thumb) sidelined and tight end Kenyon Sadiq (back) listed as questionable, Williams should see more targets from Geno Smith in the passing game.
RotoWire via ESPN - Williams caught one of his two targets for 21 yards and returned four kickoffs for 95 yards over 63 total snaps in the Jets' 31-24 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Williams played 90 percent of the Jets' offensive snaps in the contest alongside an additional eight special-teams snaps as a returner. The wide receiver has seen more playing time lately due to injuries to Adonai Mitchell (finger) and Omar Cooper (ankle). If Mitchell misses another game, Williams should see similar playing time as the No. 2 option in the Week 4 matchup with the Bears.
RotoWire via ESPN - Williams caught all six of his targets for 34 yards and added a 14-yard carry during the Jets' 20-17 overtime loss to the Packers on Sunday. He also returned three punts for two yards and five kickoffs for 124 yards.
Williams saw minimal action during the Jets' Week 1 win over the Titans, but his usage on both offense and special teams jumped significantly in Week 2 due to the absences of Kene Nwangwu (back) and Omar Cooper (ankle, IR). Williams ended up playing 61 of 74 offensive snaps (82.4 percent), tied with Adonai Mitchell for second-most among Jets wide receivers behind Garrett Wilson (65 snaps), and Williams' six catches were a career high. Williams drew a lot of praise from the Jets' coaching staff during training camp, and it appears the third-year pro will operate in a key role on offense while contributing on special teams as a returner. Up next for the Jets is a Week 3 road tilt against the Lions, whose defense has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers through the first two games of the 2026 regular season.
RotoWire via ESPN - Williams caught his lone target for seven yards in Sunday's 23-10 win over the Titans.
There was some buzz during the summer that Williams had passed first-round rookie Omar Cooper on the depth chart. Cooper ended up playing more with the offense to begin the Jets' Week 1 game against Tennessee, but he suffered a sprained ankle at the end of a 30-yard catch in the first quarter, allowing Williams to soak up more playing time behind Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell. Williams played 40 of 67 offensive snaps but was targeted on just one of his 19 routes.
