  1. Young (knee) is not expected to play in Week 4 against the Jaguars, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports.

Young suffered a left knee injury in the first quarter of Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Steelers, and he was forced to miss the remainder of the contest. Head coach Zac Taylor provided an update Monday, explaining the wide receiver isn't dealing with a long-term injury, but he will be sidelined for at least one game. The Bengals are expected reevaluate the injury after Week 4 and then determine the next steps for Young.

  2. Young (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Young injured his knee in the first quarter and was considered doubtful to return. He won't return for the second half, and the Bengals could have an update on the rookie fourth-rounder following Sunday's game. Dohnte Meyers and Ke'Shawn Williams will operate in expanded roles in Young's absence.

  3. Young (knee) is doubtful to return to Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Young was serving as the Bengals' WR3 due to the absence of Andrei Iosivas (thumb, IR), but the former injured his left knee while hauling in a two-yard pass from Joe Burrow. Dohnte Meyers and Ke'Shawn Williams are both in line for more work on offense in Young's absence.

  4. Young brought in one of three targets for nine yards in the Bengals' 30-13 preseason win over the Eagles on Friday.

The rookie fourth-round pick was quieter than during his first two preseason games, when he posted a 5-76-1 line on 12 targets. However, Young's roster spot is essentially locked in, and he opened the game with the first-team offense. The Georgia product has plenty of potential in a Joe Burrow-helmed offense, although top two wideouts Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins will naturally command plenty of the prolific quarterback's attention most weeks.

  5. Young brought in three of eight targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 27-9 preseason win over the Bears on Saturday.

The rookie fourth-round pick led the Bengals' pass catchers in receiving yards and targets on the night, and he made his first trip to the end zone as a pro via a 17-yard catch on a pass from Josh Johnson in the latter portion of the second quarter. Young now has a 5-76-1 line on 12 targets over his first two preseason games, making a solid case for the No. 4 receiver role to open the regular season.
