- Week 4 winners and losers: Tetairoa McMillan, CeeDee Lamb dominate; Jaxon Smith-Njigba struggles
Week 4 of the 2026 fantasy football season featured massive games by Tetairoa McMillan, CeeDee Lamb and Kyren Williams. On the flip side, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, D'Andre Swift and Trevor Lawrence had disappointing outings. Who were the big winners and losers around the league during the fourth week of the fantasy football season? Matt Bowen and Tristan H. Cockcroft offer their analysis. Jump to a topic: Ranking winners | Ranking losers Biggest injuries and what's next Ranking fantasy winners of Week 4 1. Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Carolina Panthers With Jalen Coker out (quad), McMillian saw heavy volume in a very positive matchup versus the Lions' defense. McMillian produced a career-best 45.2 points, catching 14 of 16 targets for 192 yards and two touchdowns. Big-time numbers. The Panthers have a bye before returning in Week 6 to play the Eagles. If Coker is back in the mix, managers can play McMillian as a high-end WR2. — Bowen 2. CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys What a day by the star wide receiver and — in fact — a career-best performance in terms of targets (21), catches (17) and fantasy points (41.3). The Texans' defense, which relies on zone coverage more than any team in the league, had no answers for Lamb's elite ability as he managed 14 catches for 161 yards in zone coverage and had the game-winning, 14-yard touchdown with 43 seconds remaining. He should continue to serve as a locked-in fantasy WR1 against the Buccaneers next week. — Cockcroft 3. Kyren Williams, RB, Los Angeles Rams Williams scored a season-high 36.7 points in Sunday's win over the Rams, rushing for 80 yards and two scores on 16 carries, plus he had 10 receptions for 67 yards. Sure, game flow contributed to Williams' usage as a receiver, but he has scored at least 21 points in two straight games. With a positive matchup versus the Bills up next, Williams should be played as an RB1. — Bowen 4. Javonte Williams, RB, Dallas Cowboys Williams dropped a season-high 31.3 points on the Texans' defense in Week 4, rushing for three touchdowns (on goal-to-goal carries), while producing 83 total yards on 24 touches. Williams has at least 18 points, and a rushing score, in three of four games this season. With his steady low red zone usage (11 goal-to-go carries on the season) in a high-scoring Dallas offense, Williams fit as a lower-tier RB1 for the Week 5 game versus Tampa Bay. — Bowen 5. Kenneth Walker III, RB, Kansas City Chiefs Walker continues to post elite RB1 numbers in Andy Reid's offense. Walker scored 30.9 points in Sunday's win over the Chiefs, rushing for 177 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries, while adding one reception for two yards. Walker is now scoring 27.5 PPG, and he has at least one touchdown in every game played. Walker should be viewed as a top-three running back when the Chiefs return from the bye in Week 6 against the Chargers. — Bowen 6. Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans Collins, who missed the past two games because of a hamstring injury, scored a season-high 30.8 points in the loss to Dallas, catching seven of a team-high eight targets for 110 yards and two touchdowns. The difference-maker for the Texans' pass game, Collins caught both of his touchdowns on end zone throws from quarterback C.J. Stroud. Collins is a WR1 for the Week 5 matchup at Tennessee. — Bowen 7. Zay Flowers, WR, Baltimore Ravens Flowers scored a season-high 25.8 points in the Week 4 win over the Titans, catching eight of 10 targets for 118 yards and a score. However, where do we see Flowers in the Week 5 matchup versus the Falcons if Lamar Jackson (ankle) can't play? If Tyler Huntley starts, look for more play-action throws, which will create schemed targets for Flowers. He'll stay in the WR2 range. — Bowen 8. Kyle Monangai, RB, Chicago Bears The Bears' rushing standout of Week 4, Monangai handled seven goal-to-go carries and converted two for touchdowns, and effectively took over the backfield during the second half on his way to a career-best 28.0 fantasy poin
ESPN - Fantasy football Week 4 inactives: Coker ruled out for Sunday Night Football
Whom should you start? Whom should you sit? To help you set your fantasy football lineups and avoid starting an offensive player who won't be in the lineup, we'll post fantasy-relevant updates and analysis here as NFL teams release their official inactives lists. Official Sunday inactives should begin coming in approximately 90 minutes before the scheduled kickoff times: around 11:30 a.m. ET for the early games and 2:30 p.m. ET for the late-afternoon games. Refresh often for the latest information. Don't forget to check these out: Mike Clay's Playbook | Week 4 Buzz Week 4 Rankings | Matchup rankings for Week 4 Biggest concerns heading into Week 4 Players in London Chig Okonkwo, TE, Commanders (hamstring): He has been limited in practice this week but is active. Okonkwo has missed the past two games and, though it is encouraging to have him back, I would not risk getting him into your lineups right away. After all, he will likely be third in the target pecking order in a game started by a backup QB. There is some upside long term, though, with Daniels potentially nearing a return. Okonkwo is a stash for TE-needy teams. Terry McLaurin, WR, Commanders (hamstring): Washington's top receiver was added to the injury report Friday and is indeed inactive for Sunday's game. Stefon Diggs was already a strong start as both the top slot option for the Commanders and man-coverage target. The Colts have allowed the most yards to slot receivers and play man at the third-highest rate in the NFL. With McLaurin sitting, Diggs gets an added boost in volume. Players with early starts ACTIVE Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens (back): Jackson scared away fantasy managers when he was limited in Wednesday's practice because of a back injury. He later returned to full practice and is active in Week 4. Never bench him in fantasy. Zay Flowers, WR, Ravens (hamstring): Flowers was questionable headed into the weekend but is indeed active for today's game. He has earned must-start status as the clear focal point of the Ravens' passing attack. DJ Moore, WR, Bills (shoulder): Buffalo's top receiver had been limited in practice and even wore a red noncontact jersey. That's the same thing that happened last week, and Moore ended up playing and getting 10 targets. He is active for Week 4. Also working in Moore's favor is that Patriots star CB Christian Gonzalez is out this week. Moore is Buffalo's top target when going against man defense, and New England uses that coverage at the second-highest NFL rate. He should be started in all leagues this week. D'Andre Swift, RB, Bears (knee): Swift was added to the team's official injury report Thursday, but did not carry an injury designation heading into Sunday. He is active and fantasy managers can start him without worry. Tyson Bagent, QB, Bears (concussion): Bagent is back at practice and reportedly took first-team reps this week. He is active and currently expected to start. Those who were planning on streaming Case Keenum in superflex leagues should pivot to Bagent. Luther Burden III is the only Bears pass catcher to start with confidence this week. Nico Collins, WR, Texans (hamstring): Collins logged limited practices to start the week before getting in a full session Friday. He is active for Week 4 against the Cowboys — a strong matchup for the receiver. Fantasy managers should get him in their starting lineup with confidence. Puka Nacua, WR, Rams (hip): The star receiver has been limited at practice this week, but coach Sean McVay said he is "good to go" for Week 4. He is indeed active. Even if he ends up being on a snap count, this one is as simple as it can get in fantasy football: Nacua is playing for the Rams, so he needs to start in fantasy. Drake Maye, QB, Patriots (shoulder): Yes, Maye was a full participant all week and is active for Week 4. However, he appeared on the team's official injury report for the first time all season. It's a situation worth monitoring, but until we see otherwise, it's fine to ben
ESPN - Collins caught seven of eight targets for 118 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-30 loss to the Cowboys.
Making his return from a two-game absence due to a hamstring strain, Collins led the Texans in catches, targets and scrimmage yards while hauling in C.J. Stroud's only two TD passes of the day. While Houston is a disastrous 0-4 to start the season, the offense has scored 61 points in the two games Collins has been active for and just 23 in the two games he missed. The star wideout will look to come up big again in Week 5 on the road in Tennessee.
