- Dallas (toe) practiced fully Friday and doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game in Tampa Bay.
Dallas kicked off Week 3 prep with back-to-back limited sessions due to a toe injury, but his ability to handle every on-field rep Friday clears him to be available to the Vikings backfield this weekend. With Aaron Jones (knee) also gaining clearance to play Sunday, Dallas likely will remain relegated to a small workload, as the latter has just four touches on his 14 offensive snaps through two games on the campaign.
RotoWire via ESPN - Dallas (toe) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
When Minnesota has all of its key backfield options available, Dallas is expected to play exclusively on special teams, but he'll likely be needed to serve as a passing-down or change-of-pace option at the very least during Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, provided the toe issue doesn't keep him from playing. Jordan Mason (thumb) won't be eligible to return from injured reserve until Week 7, and Aaron Jones — who handled 23 touches and an 81 percent snap share in this past Sunday's win over the Bears — joined Dallas as a limited participant in Thursday's practice. If Jones ends up sitting out Sunday or has his snaps managed more carefully, Dallas could be in store for a more prominent role after he was limited to eight offensive snaps and three touches in Week 2.
RotoWire via ESPN - Dallas (toe) was a limited participant at the Vikings' practice Wednesday.
Dallas appears to have picked up a toe injury during the team's 9-3 win over the Bears in Week 2, and as a result, he wasn't able to practice in full to open the week. With Aaron Jones (knee) listed as a non-participant Wednesday, rookie running back Demond Claiborne is the only fully healthy option at the moment. Dallas will have two more chances to log a full practice before Sunday's matchup with the Buccaneers.
RotoWire via ESPN - Dallas rushed twice for eight yards and caught his sole target for 12 yards in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Bears.
Dallas played eight offensive snaps, totaling 20 yards in a game where offense was at a premium. The running back also contributed eight special-teams reps, filling in occasionally while starting rusher Aaron Jones took most of the carries.
RotoWire via ESPN - The Vikings signed Dallas from the practice squad to the active roster Wednesday.
With Jordan Mason (thumb) landing on injured reserve, Dallas will presumably jump into a prominent role behind Aaron Jones. The 2020 No. 144 overall pick has appeared in contests for the Seahawks, Cardinals, Panthers, Jaguars and Vikings during his career. In 84 regular-season games, Dallas accumulated 538 yards and four touchdowns off 124 carries, adding 64 catches for 407 yards and two touchdowns.
