  1. Fields caught two of three targets for 52 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 36-24 win over the Cardinals.

Fields has emerged as the Giants' clear WR3 in terms of routes, as he ran 22 routes to Malik Nabers' 30 and Darnell Mooney's 26 against Arizona. On the season, Fields has out-targeted Mooney 15 to 10. Fields caught a 12-yard score from Jameis Winston on Sunday, and now has eight catches for 126 yards and the one score through four contests to begin his rookie season.

  2. Fields caught both of his targets for 19 yards during the Giants' 12-7 win over the Titans on Sunday.

Fields' 44 snaps on offense were actually second-most among Giants wide receivers behind Malik Nabers (50), though the former finished fourth on the team in targets behind Nabers (six), tight end Isaiah Likely (five) and running back Cam Skattebo (four). Fields has logged two catches in each of the first three games of the regular season, but the rookie third-rounder and the rest of the Giants pass catchers will take on the Cardinals in Week 4, with Arizona's defense ranking second-to-last in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers.

  3. Fields brought in two of six targets for 30 yards in the Giants' 28-6 loss to the Rams on Monday night.

Fields finished third in receptions and second in targets for the Giants on a night when Jaxson Dart (knee) exited after just one series. One of Fields' catches came during that opening drive, as he secured a 14-yard grab on third down to move the chains. The rookie third-round pick has enjoyed a solid complementary role over his first two NFL games, posting a 4-55-0 line on 10 targets. Fields is slotting in ahead of veteran Darnell Mooney on the depth chart heading into a Week 3 home matchup against the Titans on Sunday.

  4. Fields caught two of four targets for 25 yards during Sunday night's 28-20 victory over the Cowboys.

Fields was on the field for 50 of the team's 69 total offensive snaps in his regular-season debut, and he appears to be settling in as the Giants' No. 2 option at wide receiver behind Malik Nabers. The 23-year-old has a sizable 6-foot-4 frame, and he could continue to garner more looks moving forward as he gets more comfortable at the NFL level.

  5. Fields appears on track to open the season as the Giants' No. 2 wide receiver after the team released Darius Slayton on Monday, Matt Iegros of USA Today reports.

Prior to his release, Slayton looked like the leading candidate to handle the perimeter role opposite Malik Nabers (knee). Those duties instead could fall to Fields, a third-round rookie out of Notre Dame. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 222 pounds, Fields drew positive buzz in training camp and the preseason for his physicality and ability to make plays downfield. The Giants still have veterans Darnell Mooney and Odell Beckham on hand to push for playing time, but Fields often took reps ahead of both players while Nabers was sidelined or limited to non-contact portions of practice for much of camp.
