- The Bengals signed Hudson off the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday.
Hudson was elevated from the practice squad for two of the Bengals' first three games of the regular season, accumulating three catches on as many targets for 17 yards. He'll now be a part of the team's 53-man roster moving forward and will contribute mostly on special teams and in a depth role on offense behind fellow tight ends Mike Gesicki, Drew Sample and Erick All.
RotoWire via ESPN - Hudson reverted to the Bengals' practice squad Monday.
The 31-year-old tight end has appeared in two games this season, securing all three of his targets for 17 yards. The Bengals like to use multiple tight ends, and Hudson played fewer snaps than both Drew Sample and Mike Gesicki but more than Erick All during Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Steelers.
RotoWire via ESPN - The Bengals elevated Hudson from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Hudson was elevated for the Bengals' Week 1 win over the Buccaneers, playing six offensive snaps and 13 special-teams snaps in the contest and catching his sole target for four yards. The tight end should fill a similar role in Sunday's game against the Steelers, providing special-teams coverage alongside a minimal offensive snap share.
RotoWire via ESPN - Hudson reverted to the Bengals' practice squad after catching one pass for four yards in Sunday's 33-27 win over the Bucs, per the NFL's official transaction log.
The tight end played on six offensive snaps and 13 special-teams snaps. Hudson got the nod over rookie seventh-round pick Jack Endries as the fourth tight end on Cincinnati's depth chart. Endries, though, is not injured, so it's not clear which player will hold down the spot if the Bengals again carry four players at the position in their next game.

Hudson was released by the Bengals in late August before returning to the team on the practice squad. The tight end was unable to make the original 53-man roster over Mike Gesicki, Drew Sample, Erick All or Jack Endries, but it appears the team would like him to suit up for Sunday's game alongside the other four options anyway.
