- Jordan (knee) was not listed on Houston's official injury report Wednesday.
Jordan dealt with a knee issue during training camp and the preseason, but he's on track to be available for Week 1 versus the Bills. How much playing time he'll actually see is another question, as the Texans have four other healthy tight ends on their current 53-man roster.
RotoWire via ESPN - Jordan (knee) agreed to a deal with the Texans on Tuesday.
Jordan was recently cut by the Texans, though he will be brought back and added to the 53-man roster. The 26-year-old was selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, appearing in 36 regular-season games and amassing 53 receptions for 532 yards and five touchdowns. Jordan has battled knee issues over the last few years, limiting his availability, though general manager Nick Caserio, as relayed by Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, indicated he could return to practice next week.
RotoWire via ESPN - The Texans released Jordan (knee) on Sunday, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Jordan suffered a knee injury in early August that prevented the tight end from participating in any preseason games or activities. The tight end's injury is likely one of the main reasons he was unable to make the Texans' initial 53-man roster. Jordan is now a free agent and will be able to sign with any team's 53-man roster or practice squad as soon as he regains his health.
RotoWire via ESPN - Jordan (knee) did not participate at Monday's training camp practice, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Jordan suffered a knee injury in early August, and he isn't quite back to full health yet. The tight end hasn't appeared in a contest yet this preseason, and it's possible that the knee injury will force him to miss Houston's preseason finale against the Panthers on Friday.
RotoWire via ESPN - Coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that Jordan (knee) is day-to-day, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
There doesn't seem to be reason to believe it's a severe injury at this point, but it brings Jordan's availability for Thursday's preseason game versus the Chargers into question. Until he's back, rookie second-rounder Marlin Klein could see an uptick in reps.
