- Kacmarek failed to haul in his only target during Miami's loss to the Raiders on Sunday.
Kacmarek was in the team's starting lineup for his regular-season debut but ended up seeing limited action, playing just 14 of the 56 offensive snaps in addition to six snaps on special teams. While the 23-year-old primarily functions as a blocker, he could still see an increased role during the Week 2 matchup against the 49ers.
RotoWire via ESPN - Kacmarek (calf) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Las Vegas, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The rookie third-round pick upgraded to full practice participation Friday after being limited earlier in the week. Greg Dulcich is Miami's top receiving threat at tight end, but Kacmarek could play a lot of snaps as a blocker and see a few targets here and there.
RotoWire via ESPN - Kacmarek (calf) was a limited participant in practice for the second consecutive day Thursday, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
The tight end emerged from the Dolphins' last preseason game with an undisclosed issue that was eventually revealed to be a calf injury. He appears to still be dealing with it, though he did tell Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald on Wednesday that he expects to play in Miami's season opener Sunday against Las Vegas. The rookie third-round pick is the backup to Greg Dulcich on the depth chart.

Though Kacmarek appeared to be a full participant in an unofficial practice session Monday, the rookie tight end had his reps capped to begin Week 1 prep. For his part, Kacmarek didn't suggest that he's dealing with any setback with the calf injury, as he told Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald after Wednesday's practice that he expects to play in Sunday's season opener in Las Vegas.

Kacmarek was considered week-to-week after the Dolphins' final preseason game against the Falcons on Aug. 28. The tight end has recovered from his undisclosed issue quickly and is back in action just in time for the team's Week 1 matchup with the Raiders.
