  1. Week 4 winners and losers: Tetairoa McMillan, CeeDee Lamb dominate; Jaxon Smith-Njigba struggles

Week 4 of the 2026 fantasy football season featured massive games by Tetairoa McMillan, CeeDee Lamb and Kyren Williams. On the flip side, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, D'Andre Swift and Trevor Lawrence had disappointing outings. Who were the big winners and losers around the league during the fourth week of the fantasy football season? Matt Bowen and Tristan H. Cockcroft offer their analysis. Jump to a topic: Ranking winners | Ranking losers  Biggest injuries and what's next Ranking fantasy winners of Week 4 1. Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Carolina Panthers With Jalen Coker out (quad), McMillian saw heavy volume in a very positive matchup versus the Lions' defense. McMillian produced a career-best 45.2 points, catching 14 of 16 targets for 192 yards and two touchdowns. Big-time numbers. The Panthers have a bye before returning in Week 6 to play the Eagles. If Coker is back in the mix, managers can play McMillian as a high-end WR2. — Bowen 2. CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys What a day by the star wide receiver and — in fact — a career-best performance in terms of targets (21), catches (17) and fantasy points (41.3). The Texans' defense, which relies on zone coverage more than any team in the league, had no answers for Lamb's elite ability as he managed 14 catches for 161 yards in zone coverage and had the game-winning, 14-yard touchdown with 43 seconds remaining. He should continue to serve as a locked-in fantasy WR1 against the Buccaneers next week. — Cockcroft 3. Kyren Williams, RB, Los Angeles Rams Williams scored a season-high 36.7 points in Sunday's win over the Rams, rushing for 80 yards and two scores on 16 carries, plus he had 10 receptions for 67 yards. Sure, game flow contributed to Williams' usage as a receiver, but he has scored at least 21 points in two straight games. With a positive matchup versus the Bills up next, Williams should be played as an RB1. — Bowen 4. Javonte Williams, RB, Dallas Cowboys Williams dropped a season-high 31.3 points on the Texans' defense in Week 4, rushing for three touchdowns (on goal-to-goal carries), while producing 83 total yards on 24 touches. Williams has at least 18 points, and a rushing score, in three of four games this season. With his steady low red zone usage (11 goal-to-go carries on the season) in a high-scoring Dallas offense, Williams fit as a lower-tier RB1 for the Week 5 game versus Tampa Bay. — Bowen 5. Kenneth Walker III, RB, Kansas City Chiefs Walker continues to post elite RB1 numbers in Andy Reid's offense. Walker scored 30.9 points in Sunday's win over the Chiefs, rushing for 177 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries, while adding one reception for two yards. Walker is now scoring 27.5 PPG, and he has at least one touchdown in every game played. Walker should be viewed as a top-three running back when the Chiefs return from the bye in Week 6 against the Chargers. — Bowen 6. Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans Collins, who missed the past two games because of a hamstring injury, scored a season-high 30.8 points in the loss to Dallas, catching seven of a team-high eight targets for 110 yards and two touchdowns. The difference-maker for the Texans' pass game, Collins caught both of his touchdowns on end zone throws from quarterback C.J. Stroud. Collins is a WR1 for the Week 5 matchup at Tennessee. — Bowen 7. Zay Flowers, WR, Baltimore Ravens Flowers scored a season-high 25.8 points in the Week 4 win over the Titans, catching eight of 10 targets for 118 yards and a score. However, where do we see Flowers in the Week 5 matchup versus the Falcons if Lamar Jackson (ankle) can't play? If Tyler Huntley starts, look for more play-action throws, which will create schemed targets for Flowers. He'll stay in the WR2 range. — Bowen 8. Kyle Monangai, RB, Chicago Bears The Bears' rushing standout of Week 4, Monangai handled seven goal-to-go carries and converted two for touchdowns, and effectively took over the backfield during the second half on his way to a career-best 28.0 fantasy poin

  2. Kincaid brought in one of two targets for seven yards in the Bills' 29-26 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.

Kincaid saw a reduced role in the air attack for the second straight week, although Sunday's downturn resulted in season-low figures across the board. Kincaid opened the season with a 12-225-0 line over the first two games, but he's managed just three receptions for 45 yards on five targets in the subsequent pair of contests. Kincaid will look to bounce back in a Week 5 marquee matchup on the road against the Rams on Monday night, Oct. 12.

  3. Kincaid secured two of three targets for 38 yards and lost a fumble in the Bills' 24-16 win over the Chargers on Sunday.

Kincaid finished third in receptions and receiving yards on the afternoon for the Bills and tied for the same slotting in targets, but the tight end's downturn in production compared to the first two weeks stood out. He had opened the season with a combined 12-125-1 line on 14 targets, but the Chargers appeared to key on slowing him down Sunday and also forced the ball from him at the end of a 24-yard catch late in the third quarter for Kincaid's first lost fumble since his 2023 rookie campaign. Despite the relatively quiet performance, Kincaid should remain a key figure in the air attack during a Week 4 home matchup against the Patriots next Sunday.

  4. What to know before setting your lineup for Week 3: One last chance for Loveland, Herbert

I still can't believe that I bought into the Los Angeles Chargers this summer … but I honestly should have seen this coming. Jim Harbaugh is an eclectic dude. So is Mike McDaniel. QB Justin Herbert is dating pop star Madison Beer. I mean, this reads more like the plot of a Lifetime football movie than the makeup of a championship-caliber football team. It makes the plot of "Draft Day" seem believable. Well, maybe outside of a GM trading the sixth overall pick in the draft for three years of second-round picks. All that said, I'm kind of down with the Chargers this week. Because every time the world is ready to bury the Chargers, they always seem to rise to the occasion.  I'm giving one last run for Herbert, even though I'd probably be better with options like Bryce Young, who has been a popular pickup over the past two weeks on the waiver wire. Young has recorded two of his five best fantasy performances this season alone. He started in just 9% of ESPN leagues in Week 2. I suspect that number is significantly higher this week.  Here are some other notes to get you ready for Week 3.  Quarterback notes Jared Goff has scored at least 20 fantasy points in five of his last six games. He wasn't even being drafted as a QB1 this year, but he's going to be carrying a lot of fantasy teams for the rest of the season.  Patrick Mahomes is the victim of having a matchup that's too good. People are afraid the Kansas City Chiefs will be so far ahead so early that they won't throw the ball. But tell me, how will the Chiefs get all of those points? I'm all-in on Mahomes, who is averaging 21 fantasy points per game since the start of last season, second among quarterbacks.  Geno Smith has the best matchup for any quarterback this week, as the Detroit Lions have been very generous to opposing quarterbacks. Is this the kind of thing that will blow up in my face? Yeah, probably. I'm using him as a straight injury replacement, as I'm not ready to bench Herbert for him. But if you had one of the many quarterbacks who are now out this week, let's go!  Running back notes Running backs struggled in Week 2, with only eight scoring at least 15 fantasy points. The best of the top runners last week was Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor, a guy who kind of drifted through fantasy drafts but has been massive in the early going of the season. This week he gets the Houston Texans, who have allowed the third-fewest points to running backs. Speaking of Houston, David Montgomery struggled a bit in Week 2 and rushed the ball just six times, a significant drop-off from his Week 1 performance, when he had three total touchdowns. He will bounce back this week against the Colts, who have been one of the most generous defenses to opposing quarterbacks, running backs, receivers … everything. They give up points to everyone.  Kenneth Walker III had back-to-back weeks with 23 fantasy points. He had only one 23+ game last season. My gosh, where would the Chiefs be without him?  Don't look now, but Christian McCaffrey had his 70th game with at least 20 fantasy points. He tied the mark held by LaDanian Tomlinson for most such games since 2000. And you were scared to draft him. Wide receiver notes It felt like a consolation prize to end up with Jaxon Smith-Njigba on draft night. He has 42.5 points this year, the second-highest scoring receiver game start since the Los Angeles Rams' Puka Nacua last year. He has been incredible.  Fellow Ram Davante Adams has the most points in a game since joining Los Angeles (39.5) last season. He also leads all receivers in receiving touchdowns since last year. I was a little worried about DeVonta Smith, but he had a career-high 13 targets last week and settled in nicely as the WR1 for the Philadelphia Eagles.  I wish I had more of the New Orleans Saints' Chris Olave in my leagues this year. He recorded his fifth-consecutive 20-point game, which is the longest active streak in the league.  Are we in on the Las Vegas Raiders' Tre Tucker,

  5. Kincaid brought in seven of eight targets for 95 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' 41-31 win over the Lions on Thursday.

The star tight end put together a fitting encore to his season-opening 5-130-0 line against the Texans, setting the pace for the Bills in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night. Kincaid repeatedly got into the second level of the Lions defense during the high-scoring victory — including on his 16-yard scoring grab late in the first half — and his particularly elevated workload was partly the byproduct of DJ Moore's exit with a shoulder injury shortly before the tight end's touchdown catch. Kincaid will remain a vital component of the Bills' red-hot air attack in a Week 3 home showdown against the Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 27.
