News
- Nailor (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's contest against the Chiefs.
Nailor took a blow to the head late in the second quarter, and he was ultimately diagnosed with a concussion. The wide receiver will finish his day having recorded no stats. In his absence, Tre Tucker, Cody White and Dareke Young will operate as the Raiders' top options at wide receiver.
RotoWire via ESPN - Nailor caught one of his three targets for 16 yards in the Raiders' 35-27 win over the Saints on Sunday.
Nailor struggled for the Raiders in Week 3. The team relied more on tight end Brock Bowers to carry the passing offense. Tre Tucker and Nailor received over three times fewer targets than the tight end in the contest, with Bowers establishing the pecking order early in his return from injury.
RotoWire via ESPN - Nailor caught one of three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 26-14 win over the Chargers.
Nailor's three targets were fourth on the team, and he continues to run plenty of routes. The production is lacking through two games, as Nailor has just four catches for 36 scoreless yards on eight targets. Cody White secured a pair of touchdowns as the fourth wideout Sunday, and it will be interesting to see if White starts getting more snaps at Nailor or Jack Bech's expense.
RotoWire via ESPN - Nailor caught three passes (on five targets) for 27 yards during the Raiders' 27-13 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
Nailor ended up leading all Raiders wide receivers in targets, though he finished third in that category behind Michael Mayer (seven) and running back Ashton Jeanty (six). Even with Brock Bowers (knee) sidelined, it looks like Nailor will operate in a complementary role in the Raiders offense, especially in games where Jeanty gets it going as he did against Miami. Nailor will look for better results Week 2 on the road against the Chargers.
RotoWire via ESPN - Nailor brought in two of four targets for 13 yards in the Raiders' 18-12 preseason loss to the 49ers on Thursday.
Nailor led the Raiders in targets and finished tied for second in receptions. The fifth-year pro made his first catch on a pass from Kirk Cousins for a seven-yard gain during the opening possession, and he recorded his second and final one with Fernando Mendoza under center to open Las Vegas' third drive. Nailor was then also the intended target deep down the middle on the next play, a pass that resulted in an interception. Nailor is projected to open the regular season as the No. 2 receiver and posted a 3-35-0 line on seven targets in two preseason games.
