- The Rams placed Rivers (calf) on their injured reserve list Wednesday.
Per Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site, coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that Rivers' calf injury is expected to keep him sidelined for 4-to-6 weeks. McVay also said the team plans to elevate either undrafted rookie Dean Connors or Jordan Waters from its practice squad for Sunday's game at Denver.
RotoWire via ESPN - Rivers has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game against the Giants due to a calf injury.
It's not clear when Rivers was hurt, but he was ruled out shortly after halftime. Prior to his exit, the Fresno State product didn't log any touches on offense. Kyren Williams and Blake Corum will continue to lead Los Angeles' backfield.
RotoWire via ESPN - Rivers rushed five times for 19 yards and caught one pass for five yards in the Rams' 27-7 loss to the 49ers in Week 1.
With the Rams getting blown out by 20 points in the fourth quarter, Rivers saw eight offensive snaps late in the game and piled up six touches during his minimal playing time. He's the RB3 behind Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.
