  1. Fantasy football Week 4 inactives: DeVonta, Price out; McConkey, Coker questionable

Whom should you start? Whom should you sit? To help you set your fantasy football lineups and avoid starting an offensive player who won't be in the lineup, we'll post fantasy-relevant updates and analysis here as NFL teams release their official inactives lists.  Official Sunday inactives should begin coming in approximately 90 minutes before the scheduled kickoff times: around 11:30 a.m. ET for the early games and 2:30 p.m. ET for the late-afternoon games. Refresh often for the latest information. Don't forget to check these out: Mike Clay's Playbook | Week 4 Buzz  Week 4 Rankings | Matchup rankings for Week 4 Biggest concerns heading into Week 4 Players in London  Chig Okonkwo, TE, Commanders (hamstring): He has been limited in practice this week but is active. Okonkwo has missed the past two games and, though it is encouraging to have him back, I would not risk getting him into your lineups right away. After all, he will likely be third in the target pecking order in a game started by a backup QB. There is some upside long term, though, with Daniels potentially nearing a return. Okonkwo is a stash for TE-needy teams. Terry McLaurin, WR, Commanders (hamstring): Washington's top receiver was added to the injury report Friday and is indeed inactive for Sunday's game. Stefon Diggs was already a strong start as both the top slot option for the Commanders and man-coverage target. The Colts have allowed the most yards to slot receivers and play man at the third-highest rate in the NFL. With McLaurin sitting, Diggs gets an added boost in volume. Players with early starts ACTIVE Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens (back): Jackson scared away fantasy managers when he was limited in Wednesday's practice because of a back injury. He later returned to full practice and is active in Week 4. Never bench him in fantasy. Zay Flowers, WR, Ravens (hamstring): Flowers was questionable headed into the weekend but is indeed active for today's game. He has earned must-start status as the clear focal point of the Ravens' passing attack. DJ Moore, WR, Bills (shoulder): Buffalo's top receiver had been limited in practice and even wore a red noncontact jersey. That's the same thing that happened last week, and Moore ended up playing and getting 10 targets. He is active for Week 4. Also working in Moore's favor is that Patriots star CB Christian Gonzalez is out this week. Moore is Buffalo's top target when going against man defense, and New England uses that coverage at the second-highest NFL rate. He should be started in all leagues this week. D'Andre Swift, RB, Bears (knee): Swift was added to the team's official injury report Thursday, but did not carry an injury designation heading into Sunday. He is active and fantasy managers can start him without worry. Tyson Bagent, QB, Bears (concussion): Bagent is back at practice and reportedly took first-team reps this week. He is active and currently expected to start. Those who were planning on streaming Case Keenum in superflex leagues should pivot to Bagent. Luther Burden III is the only Bears pass catcher to start with confidence this week. Nico Collins, WR, Texans (hamstring): Collins logged limited practices to start the week before getting in a full session Friday. He is active for Week 4 against the Cowboys — a strong matchup for the receiver. Fantasy managers should get him in their starting lineup with confidence. Puka Nacua, WR, Rams (hip): The star receiver has been limited at practice this week, but coach Sean McVay said he is "good to go" for Week 4. He is indeed active. Even if he ends up being on a snap count, this one is as simple as it can get in fantasy football: Nacua is playing for the Rams, so he needs to start in fantasy. Drake Maye, QB, Patriots (shoulder): Yes, Maye was a full participant all week and is active for Week 4. However, he appeared on the team's official injury report for the first time all season. It's a situation worth monitoring, but until we see otherwise, it's fine to ben

  2. Sadiq (back) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bears.

A back injury led to Sadiq being limited at practice from Wednesday through Friday, but it will not prevent him from suiting up for Week 4. It's unclear how close Sadiq is to 100 percent, but he is coming off a game in which he racked up seven receptions, 105 yards and a score on eight targets, and he could be busy again with fellow pass catchers Adonai Mitchell (finger), Mason Taylor (thumb) and Omar Cooper (ankle) all unavailable Sunday.

  3. Sadiq (back) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears.

After logging limited practices earlier in the week, Sadiq now carries a questionable tag into Week 4. With Mason Taylor (thumb) already ruled out against Chicago, Sadiq's status bears monitoring over the next 48 hours. If he's cleared to play, the rookie tight end should once again have a significant pass-catching role after posting his first career 100-yard receiving game with a touchdown last Sunday against the Lions.

  4. Fantasy football buzz: How will absence of DeVonta Smith affect other Eagles?

Everything that happens in the NFL has additional context when viewed from a fantasy football perspective. From position battles to injuries and so much more, the news cycle will constantly affect player values in fantasy football. Our fantasy football buzz file, with contributions from our ESPN fantasy writers and our NFL Nation reporters, aims to provide fantasy managers with the intel they need as news breaks around the league. Oct. 2: What to expect from Eagles without DeVonta Smith By Matt Bowen With reports that a hamstring injury will keep Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith out of the lineup this Sunday in the home matchup against the Rams, let's discuss the fantasy implications for Philadelphia. If you're a Smith manager, you can pivot to Dontayvion Wicks or Makai Lemon as streaming options, as both are available in slightly more than 50% of ESPN leagues. You can also check out the last-minute pickups column for a handful of other viable options at wide receiver. Wicks scored 12 or more points in each of his first two games, catching a touchdown in Week 1. He has a big-play element to his game (19.9 YPC), so he will see more vertical opportunities Sunday against a Rams defense that will mix man and zone coverages. He can be played as a WR3/flex with more upside due to the third-level targets (seven targets of 15 or more air yards this season). Lemon has seen only nine targets on the season, catching seven of them for 38 yards. However, the rookie has run 28 routes per game and his role should expand versus L.A. Going back to Lemon's college tape at USC, he can manipulate coverage at the top of the route, plus he accelerates thorough the ball. Those are good traits to have in this league. He should be viewed as a lower-tier WR3 for this matchup. Expect the Eagles to be more run-heavy in this game without Smith, which should put Saquon Barkley at 15-20 carries. Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts — who was already outside of the top 10 QBs in our consensus ranks — will have an even lower ceiling heading into Sunday. Yes, Hurts can provide a boost to the lineup due to his running ability, as he averages 29 yards per game, but he has scored only one rushing touchdown on the season. Oct. 2: You should be paying attention to Aaron Rodgers By Adam Rank At least for one night in Cleveland, Aaron Rodgers turned back the clock. Was it the 299 passing yards? The three touchdowns? Or the fact that I really believed that his desperation heave in the waning seconds of the game was going to find its way into the mitts of a Steelers receiver who would carry it into the end zone for a walk-off touchdown? Sure, all of it. Look, I make no apologies for being the supporter of a team that was on the losing side of "Rodgers magic" way too many times. However, I'm not going to lie when I tell you I was seriously nervous on that final throw. I've seen it too many times. The point is, Rodgers was very impressive for the second consecutive week. Although, the interception at the end, we could have done without. Still, another huge performance which raises the question: What do we do with Rodgers moving forward? Patrick Mahomes and Bryce Young are on a bye next week. (Oh yeah, the bye weeks are getting ready to start!) A number of quarterbacks are missing this week and possibly next. But it goes a little bit beyond that. Like, what if some of the guys we believed in back in August continue to struggle? I'm looking at you, Justin Herbert and Drake Maye. Rodgers has a plus matchup next week against the Colts. Do you have the nerve to put him into your starting lineup? Something to think about. Of course, most people have to wait until Tuesday to put in a waiver claim. And so many things can happen between now and then. But for the moment, Rodgers is looking like a borderline QB1 in fantasy circles, which is not something that I would have thought about six weeks ago. Heck, even two weeks ago.  While we're reassessing our preseason preconceptions … my edito

  5. Sadiq (back) remained limited at practice Thursday.

Sadiq has been limited in each of the Jets' first two practices leading up to Sunday's game against the Bears. The rookie tight end took a hard landing on a diving catch that resulted in the first receiving touchdown of his NFL career in the Week 3 loss to the Lions, so his back injury may be connected to that play. Sadiq will have one more chance to increase his practice participation level Friday before the Jets release their Week 4 injury statuses.
