  1. Smack went 0-for-1 on field-goal tries and 2-for-2 on extra-point attempts in Thursday's 35-14 loss to the Falcons.

The kicker's 47-yard attempt in the second quarter was blocked. It was Smack's first miss on a field-goal try this season, and it probably wasn't his fault. The rookie has, however, missed an extra point as well.

  2. Smack made both of his field-goal attempts and went 2-for-2 on extra-point tries during the Packers' 20-17 overtime win over the Jets on Sunday.

Smack's 34-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter tied things up at 17-17 before the rookie sealed the game for the Packers with a 26-yard chip shot in overtime. The rookie sixth-rounder is off to a strong start to his NFL career, having gone 5-for-5 on field-goal tries and 3-for-4 on extra-point attempts across the first two games of the regular season.

  3. Smack made all three of his field-goal attempts while missing one of two PATs in Sunday's 39-22 loss to the Vikings.

Smack made field goals from 59, 43 and 26 yards but fell short of a flawless night after missing an extra-point try. The sixth-round rookie had a strong debut overall with 10 total points.

  4. Smack went 4-of-4 on field goals and 3-of-3 on extra points in Friday's 33-13 preseason victory over the Broncos.

Smack made all three field goals he got up — including a 58-yarder — in last week's exhibition opener, and the rookie remained perfect thanks to an ever better night that included makes from both 51 and 59 yards out. Packers kickers haven't been particularly fantasy-friendly in recent years, but if Smack remains true from long range he has a chance to change that.

  5. Smack made three field goals in Thursday's 28-9 preseason loss to the Steelers.

Smack — per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel — was a bit wayward early in training camp, but the rookie was true on all three of his attempts, including one from 58 yards away, in his first exhibition appearance. Smack was already the clear favorite to open the season as Green Bay's kicker, and Thursday's showing all but locks him in.
